Question 2001 Silverado Electrical

I recently had an intermittent electrical problem turn into a permanent problem. The airbag light, 4WD light and msg center would flash when I turned the AC or vent fan on full blast. After about 2 seconds everything returned to normal. However, the last time, the fan did not come on and I have lost the 4WD lights, digital odometer and the AC / fan - also the battery light is on permanent in the msg center. I checked all fuses and all appear intact (inside and under the hood). Anyone ever run into this problem?
Thanks
Ryan

Check your battery connections and if they're not loose or corroded have battery/alternator tested.

Thanks for the reply Jeremy.. the problem still exists even when the engine is not running. Are there any relays or solenoids that could cause this?

Re: 2001 Silverado Electrical

I found out that the alternator was only putting out .5 amps.. I replaced and now it is at a normal level. However, now my battery light flashes in the msg center (everything has been tested good including battery), all appears to be working normally.
