Really Quick!!

Please someone reply asap please, my question is this. My car stalled out and it doesnt start, when I tried to start it it would turn over but wouldnt start. But now after ive been trying over and over I hear a loud noise, sounds like somethings being shocked or scraping. Im pretty sure its something in the distributor, now does anyone know if it could be the coil or any of those parts? Also i have a new battery so i dont think thats it.

Re: Really Quick!!

Get a f***ing distributor man. You've asked about it in like 2 or 3 threads now, just replace the damn thing and then ask about other ideas if it doesn't fix it. If you're not going to listen to other people's advice then why keep asking for opinions and wasting time; just replace the damn thing and get it over with.

Although I did just post something in the Integra topic and then I saw a topic dedicated to just what I was asking about so I posted there.

Re: Really Quick!!

ok ok ok, heres the deal, if i buy one, a distributor, and i install it, i cannot return it, wich means im gunna waste 250$ on shit, sorry for just wanting to make sure. now when i turn the key i hear a click and its like the battery is low or sumthin becuase all of the lights are dim, and when i turn the key to ignition again i cant even hear the fuel pump.then when i take out the negative wire and put it back on it works fine, unless i try to start it again

Re: Really Quick!!

well get your batter recharged, see if that helps, then if you still have problems, get a helms manual, take off the cap and inspect the distributor and see if everything is fine using the helms manual for reference.

Sounds Like.

Sounds like maybe a Starter Problem, but don't rule out that your battery may have a low charge less the 12 volts.

As far as test parts go(Distributor) , go to your local wreckers and either buy one off the shell or remove it yourself. (Cheaper)!

Good Luck

this can also be an alternator problem. Check to see - when you start your car if alternator is frozen (wont rotate) or is slowly rotating.

Re: Really Quick!!

well i dont think ill be able to see that anymore because when i try to start it, theres a click, just one click, like a spark sound and all my lights, like the oil, battery, etc go dim, then they slowly start to get brighter again, but i have to take out the neg battery cable and put it back on for it to work again.

Re: Really Quick!!

you may have drained you battery by trying to start your car, without your alternater running you battery won't charge. so you probably drained the battery. but if you think you need a distributor and thats been the case for a while, you probably DO need to get a new one. My accord was leaking Anti-freeze. I just thought it was boiling over but that wasnt it. And when I finally replaced my radiator I almost blew my car up on the way to my machnics shop. So replace the distributor if you think it could be causeing the probably

That's about the best idea right there. Don't even have them fix the problem, just have them diagnose it and fix it yourself.
