Any Monster Miatas here?

Just wondering. I haven't seen too many in my area. I love the idea of a super light miata with a TT 13b in it. I recently saw one in a magazine but I can't remember which one. Anyway it was BadA$$.

I also hear that Ford 5.0 Mustang engines get dropped into Miatas once and a while. One of the Panoz guys has one (Danny?)... But he could probably get whatever he wants.

Yeah, there are LOTS of swaps for the MX-5. The 13B and 5.0 are the most common.

Personally, I think the 5.0 is better. The engine itself is lighter, helping to maintain that 50/50 weight balance, it's got better reliability, and power is not problem...In fact, it kicks the rotary's ass in torque.

Just add a FM turbo to it and achieve some 230 rear wheel HP on a 1.6 and some 260 rear wheel HP fro a 1.8.

Take a look at: www.flyinmiata.com for the action!

Nico
who still swapped his FM turbo-ed miata for a Lancer EVO VI

And it is easy to get 450+hp from the ford engine. And its lighter, which is even better (I would of thought that it would be heavier)
