Power Polishers.

I use a 12 year old snap on angle grinder , its variable speed but no way to tell what the rpms are (trigger sensative) I was wondering what a good bargain is for say a makita , nakita , snap on variable speed or any good polishers with adjustable speeds. Tell me how they disapate heat , durability and do they bolt the pads on or just stick on with velcro? Do they hesitate when pulling the trigger anything you can think of about them. Thanks

Re: Power Polishers.

I love my Makita's w/ adjustable speed limit dial. Came with a velcro mounting base, never had a pad fly off yet. Nice thing is the slow start-up, it doesn't go right to 3,000 or set speed, it slowly gets there. Only problem I've had with one is the cord getting damaged from an employee learning how to use it, almost wrapped the cord around his neck.

I know of a website that sells the makita's for $199.95 - cheapest I've ever seen. It's too bad I found out about the site after ordering 2 from Cornwell Tools - $250 each. I can post the site for you monday - forget the exact site - discounttoolwarehouse.com or something like that.
