Heres couple drawings

I drawed both in 10 minutes. I know the cars are a bit crooked.

Tell me what you think of these quick drawings

Re: Heres couple drawings

Not too bad! Like you said there a bit crooked (the first one more than the second). Just imagine a point in the distance that all the lines must point towards, like when you do 2 point perspective. The detail isn't bad for 20 mins on both . I'd like to see you spend longer on your drawings though, so you can get the perspective right and the shading a bit more detailed. Also, use plain paper, unless that was for a grid method.

Overall pretty good though for the amound of effort . Keep it up.

Sketch a little more. Move your lines until they look right to you then go in dark.

Do you actually own a VW? I need to know.

Nice...I own a '58 ragtop named Mistie.

http://www.58vw.com

I used to own 2 fastbacks a '66, and a '70.

Spend some time just drawing boxes. Use it as a warming up exercise, it will help your perspective. Also look through the Al, and bonzelite threads there's good info on perspective in them.

Okay.. but i didnt care of perspective on these cars, they were just and only quick draws. But you'll see some more serious drawings soon...

Re: Heres couple drawings

good non-serious sketches.

good job.

Re: Heres couple drawings

Isn't bad just a bit stretched and the perspective is still off a bit...

Re: Heres couple drawings

Reminds me of myself back in the day. Your tires brought a tear to my eye.

Stay loose, don't rush to color. You have potential. I can see it.

Re: Heres couple drawings

actually that car looks really great. the biggest qualm i have is with the front wheel --looks cut or fractured or compromised or off-looking, out-of-round. a flat spot. disturbed, stunted, squashed, mashed, incorrect, problematic, distended, handicapped, bruised, rough, misaligned, ill-conceived, unsatisfactory, dumb.

otherwise, you grasp pespsective quite well. wheels are the hardest thing and the first thing to distinguish a car and it's lines.

rock on.
