Re: Fahrenheit 911

The advance press for it has been very interesting, Michael Moore is adept at manipulating the media for the purposes of self-promotion.Not saying that that is a bad thing, after all,the politicians have been doing it for years.I look forward to seeing the film,it will be a useful counterpoint to the fatuous twaddle put out by the Oval office.

Anything that gets a 20 minute standing ovation at Cannes must be worth taking a look at.

Well, the film community is notoriously liberal,I mean you only have to look at Charlton Heston....

Cannes is certainly a better indicator of a film's quality than the Oscars. The judging panel comes from a much broader background.

What? Michael Moore got another premise for a movie from Marilyn Manson?

He already told the world it's safer to roam the streets of South Central, LA than breath in the city. He wanted cops to arrest people driving cars. He harassed an old man with alzheimer's. What other stupid shit can he come up with?

I'm looking forward to seeing it though. It'll be just like watching the movie Jackass.

Re: Fahrenheit 911

This movie already won an awards in Europe. I can see that the democrats are trying to knock out Bush in the 2004 Election.

Don't worry, I always watch movies with an open mind.

BFC was a fairly good movie, he made some pretty good points. I just thought his tactics were a little stupid. That, and the fact I believe the whole movie was based on his interview with Marilyn Manson. I know Marilyn Mason is a pretty smart guy, I just wish Michael Moore hadn't ripped off all his ideas.
