My 91 Accord Hates Speed!

Okay, I have two things wrong when it comes to speed with this car. First, whenever I hit 60MPH (only at 60MPH exactly) the car begins to vibrate extremely bad, so bad that I have to slow down because the car is just jerkin' me around the road. Sometimes it will go away after a while but most the time it's always like that. Second, when I get to 70MPH (or over) then RPM's sky rocket! I've caught the RPM's at around 6000. The RPM needle just jumps up and down, it doesn't slowly go up and down, it just jumps around. It may go up and peak 6000 then jump back down to 3500 then right back up again. This is not a problem which has just started, it has always been doing this.

If anyone can help me with either or both of these problems that would be awesome.

for the vibration get your tires balanced. that might be the problem and check the tire preasure on them as well . if that doesn't do it then check you ball joints and tierod ends for wear

I just had my brakes checked the other day, and I had my tires balanced earlier this year. Would they really have gotten unbalanced that quickly?

You might want to check your CV joints, I had a 95 mx-3 and the cv's went out on me. The jerking motion was almost enought to send me fishtailing at high speeds. Also if those lock up at speed, chances are you will be looking at the road upside down, or if your lucky sideways.
If thats not the problem, like Pedros91 said, check the ball joints.
General rule of thumb is, if you can feel it in the steering wheel, it's usually the axle to the joints. if it is felt in the body, it's probably the wheels.

p.s. or the frame might not be squared.
