What the hell is INSP?
I have got a 99 A3 1.8.
The car constantly keeps saying "service INSP". I assume it means "inspection". Can you give me some info on what it really is? |

does your A3 have VDO? most do, but some have the (Nippon/Seiki)?
this should work... if not, you will have to find someone with either a MODIS or VAG-COM scanner. I know this covers most of the B4 platforms though; (also, if you have not serviced your Audi, do so) then: Switch ignition off. - Press trip recorder reset button below speedometer on the instrument cluster at same time switch ignition on. The trip recorder display (odometer) will read "service OIL". - Release button. - Pull the clock adjuster button (below tachometer) on the instrument cluster and hold for approximately two seconds. This resets "service OIL" display. Note: Depending on the make of the instrument cluster, the display on the trip recorder will either continue to read "service OIL" (Nippon Seiki) or change to "- - -" (VDO). - Press trip recorder reset button again to advance to next type of service. - Release button. The trip recorder display will read "service INSP". - Pull the clock adjuster button on instrument cluster and hold for again approximately two seconds. This resets "service INSP" display. (see previous note depending on display) - Switch ignition off. -TaDa. hope this works for you, chris nrt racing |
