Speakers for 01' 6disc
Alright
Im looking for opinions. I would like to change the front speakers on my 01' X and dont really know what to look into. The stock ones are nice but not real crisp so... yeah. I want to see what other people are running with the stock 6 disc in dash changer. Thanks Brantley

I'm looking to do the same thing, I have the same car, and I'm pretty sure they are 6 1/2" speakers in the front and middle, with 6x9"s in the cargo area...maybe that can help a little
It would be nice to find out the full specs for the stock HU so you could find speakers that matched the recommended RMS, so if you know where to find that I could help you find speakers that would fit and have the right power without replacing the HU |

I dunno where to find that. So, thats why I'm asking. I'm sure someone in this forum knows.
BTW they are 6 3/4" in the front if I'm not mistaken.

i have a 2001 X and i upgraded to a pioneer head unit and pioneer speakers all around but what you have to do is match the output of the in dash head unit with the output of the speakers not just go with a large wattage speaker when the unit only outputs 20 watts per channel but in general to get better allaround sound go with a three way speaker that has alarge speaker for bass a mid for the middle range a a tweeter for the high end good luck

Re: Speakers for 01' 6disc
the output is usually on the back of the radio i think the stock regular unit had 15 to 20 watts i know the speakers were only 15 watts
