I just bought HID lights for the car, having issues
I bought a pair of McCulloch HID lights (Cheap ones with the Ballast and Igniter separate
)I hooked them up to my 95 Mustang GT and they are doing something strange. They will only power on when the engine is off. If I turn on the engine and power on the lights, they will not come on. If I turn on the lights and then power on the engine, then they stay on. Anybody have any ideas as to what could be the issue? |

Anyway, I figured out the problem on my own. The ballasts don't like the 14.5v DC coming out of the altenator, they prefer a steady 12v DC. Solution: Put a big ass Resistor to drop the voltage to 12v DC everytime. I guess that's what I get for buying bargain bin HID systems
