Question auto to manual swap

any input on this subject would be greatly appreciated. i just scored a manual tranny with EVERYHTING (linkage, pedals, shifter, master and slave cylinder, mounts) out of a 96 ex with a d series motor. i am wanting to put this in my 95 ex d16z6. my 95 is currently and auto and i am gonna convert over to a manual. what all do i need, besides what i got? i tried to do a search on the forum and came back with nothing.

I have a tranny sitting in my backyard with only 35,000 miles on it and its a manual... I have auto and have no use for it. If anyone wants it name a price :-) Includes flywheel and clutch (which I doubt you need) Clutch looks brand new.

Re: auto to manual swap

I just done this in my '94. I had some trouble with the mounts and had to do a like fab to make this work. You will also need to chip your ECU or your check engine light will stay on. I bought the chip off ebay for $25. You might be able to get by without the chips the direction showed taking out the resitor at location RP17 and putting a jumper across Rp18. I did not find this out until I got the chip. I also had trouble finding the right flywheel. You will need differnet bolts for the flywheel. The bolts for the driveplate are about 3/8" shorter than the ones that you will need. Your starter will probably not work either. I found pretty much everything that I needed at the local junkyard. Most of the wiring is pretty simple.
