We have a 1991 Ford E350 Motorhome with the 460 FI engine. The unit only has 26K miles on it.
We put it away for the winter last year, she was running excellent. The engine was recently tuned. Half way thru winter, I started it up to get the juices flowing and noticed it was difficult to start and required a bunch of taps on the gas pedal to keep it running. I assumed maybe it was just cold and hadn't been ran in a while. Fast forward to today. I have been attempting to start the RV with no luck. I did use starting fluid and she ran, but once again barely and it required me tapping on the gas pedal to keep it running. It didn't run long. I'm stumped. ????? I am assuming the electrical fuel pump maybe? (I can hear it kick on shortly when I turn the key on). I read another tech article here about the Idle Control Valve, I thought that may have been it so I replaced it, still no go. The fuel filter was replaced prior to winter storage. SOS! |

I have replaced the external frame mounted fuel pump. Still the same issues.
Anyone here? |

do you here the pump running? may be a bad relay or conection to the relay. Also check the inertia switch to make sure it is not tripped.
