Quality
i am currently shoping for a car and there is a 97 tiburon for sale in my area for $4000 / obo w/ 48k miles, is this a good deal? and as far as the tiburons go, do they have a lot of problems? i have never heard anything about the quality of hyndaui cars, i know they have really good warranty, but i don't think that will apply after the car has been sold by the original owner, any advice would be appriciated, thanks

Actually, when I bought my '00 Tib at a used car lot, I called a Hyundai dealership and they said the warranty was transferrable. My Tib had the 5 year warranty or 60,000 miles whatever came first. You should be able to apply the same thing to your Tib
If they give you crap, then I would call Hyundai Corporate - they can verify this for you. |

Only problem, Hyundai did not start the 10yr/100k miles warranty until 1999. I'm not sure what warranty they had in 1997, but it wasn't any better than 5yr 60k miles, which would still put the car way out of warranty anyways. No Hyundai warranty, you would have to buy an aftermarket warranty from a used car dealership in order to have any warranty on that car.
