B16B dyno charts anyone?

Got an intake and exhaust, just wondering if anybody's seen a similar setup and a chart? I haven't been to a dyno yet and was wondering what she'll read.. I'm hoping for 170+whp

Holy crap this guy made 192whp with an intake/exhaust and cam gears (which do next to nothing on a stock engine, I think..) but if they do I'm so going to install the ones I have sitting in my garage. The engine is 185 crank hp stock, so this dyno is saying an intake and exhaust added like 20-25 crank hp? Man, I wonder what a header will add..

1999 Civic Type-R motor.
Pretty stock.
Cam Gears
Fuel reg, 92 octane
Intake, exhaust.
Pretty secret.
Just look, don't ask or touch!
haha

Jeff
However, I'm sure the "pretty secret." part is something that bumped it bigtime because a JDM itr engine with only an exhaust peaked at 175whp so who knows.. Great site, thanks man.

With Jeff, it seems pretty secret can mean anything. Read the rest of his site, there's great articles on tuning and what not.

Re: B16B dyno charts anyone?

My B16A dyno'ed at 155(I/H/E) then 158 (I/H/E) after a slight fuel increase, so the numbers are not unbelievable at all considering Jeff is a great tuner.

Re: B16B dyno charts anyone?

At the wheels homie. When I installed my CTR cams, I lost 5 peak hp,but gained 8lbs-ft, and it completely shifted the powerband, made a huge difference in around town driving. I got my wideband, and cam gears, I just have to unlazy and get it all on a dyno again so I can tune my dang hp back, I am hoping to hit over 160whp.

You can easily gain that Hp back if you tune right you should get a 6/6 increase at peak and average 5hp gains throughout the powerband....
If i get a Si i might throw some Skunk2s in it or turbo... Im prolly gonna go N/A and try to get 165whp with Cams Intake IntakeMani Header Cat Exhaust and play with vtech engagement and such with a Vafc

Re: B16B dyno charts anyone?

CTR/ITR cams are nohting extreme, and good for a nice power bump without sacrificing reliability. For a more serious build, IMO the Skunk2 cams are the best for the price versus gains. But just remember, anything above a stage one requires the vavletrain to handle it.

As far as vtec changfeover, once you get everything on, head to a dyno and do any adjusting there.
