Question timing belt

I would take off the timing belt cover and see if it is either wearing out or if it's hitting. If the belt is fine then i personally would just leave the cover to the timing belt off and see if it still hits.

I would definetely take the cover off and check it out. You could even have a water pump bearing going out which is really not a good thing. Also look for wear on the belt and wear on the belt tensioner. Hope this helps.

I think i figured out what it was. Well it seems like my timing belt is really loose and so i think thats whats causing the "scratching noise?" So how do i tightened the belt..what tools do i need?
