Dear Lords and Guru's of the Maxima forum, I have just aquired a greddy exhaust and cold air intake. I have also just ordered a set of headers as well. Just trying to add an extra unph to the 96 GLE max. Some one saad that my computer may need to be adjusted fot the intake difference and headers as well. If you add headers this lets the egine vent exaust fast allowing for faster intake and combustion. I just don't know whether i need to adjust it or if I can. I was under the impression that it should adjust automatically to compensate for a leaner or richer mixture depending on the condition. (humid day with little O2 per cubic volume of aire passing accross the O2 sensor) Am I wrong? If I do need to adjust it how can I do that? |

Re: Computer / exhaust
Our ECUs are adaptive and will learn to compensate for the upgrades. If you're worried about it, reset your ECU after installation.
