New switch for factory foglights

I was wanting to switch over the factory push button switch for the foglights to something different. I have found a switch that i like, and im gonna have to modify the wiring. Anyone know what wires do what?

Re: New switch for factory foglights

How much do fog lights run (specifically for a 2000 Eclipse)? I like the WRX's fog lights.

i put fog lights put on my 2003 eclipse. Basically i just ran a positive and negative wire and that was it. The factory switch should be similiar to that. I wouldnt think it would be that different. Check the wires and see how many there are and get back reply!

It is pretty different. There are more than just two wires there. Not too sure how many there are, but i will check in the next few days when i am not soo busy with the two jobs that i have. I do know that some go to the dash, b/c when you switch the lights on there is an icon on the dash that lights up. Not too sure about how many wires there are though.

Re: New switch for factory foglights

ok, the extra wires are probably tapped to your headlights switch so if you have your head lights on, and turn them off theyll go out...does the switch you're looking at have a power, ground, and turn-on on the back? I'll do a little research
