cd player problem

i have a Sony CDX-52 10 disc cd changer and every time i go over a bump it skips its starting to piss me off its located in the back of my car in the custom box encloser does anyone have any ideas i can do to stop this

you need to remount the changer. it's skipping because its not securely bolted down. the thing cannot move at all. see if you can bolt it down better or try moving its position in the car. those changers are pretty sensitive to bumps and such, especially if its an older one...

I keep buyin sony decks and every time I kick myself in the ass for it.. I found that they have all been very poor for skipping.. Maybe the changers are the same..
But more than likely its just a mounting problem as suggested

well i found out that this one sucks so im gonna get an alpine 10 disc (if they make em) b/c i like the headunit i have but its only tape deck but the options on it are hot

Alpine's nice... i got an alpine cd/radio head unit and (all 4 :/) speakers in my car when i bought it... nice sound and quality... cant complain, esp. for just having 4 components (no tweeters or subs but they hold up the highs and lows pretty well)

i just put in 2 6x9 alpine type S's in my camaro with a 250w alpine amp..sounds great...i have polk front speakers in my truck. i have an alpine deck that i wanna sell and i have a pioneer deck in my truck now. i have a kenwood 600w amp that i wanna sell and i have two kicker 10" truck boxs that are in my room hooked up to my stereo. i also have two 10" rockford HE2's in my truck now with a rockford 500w amp with a custom box made by yours truley. they have all worked great for me except the kickers..thats why theyre in my room. i blew them 6 times each in my truck. :/

those kickers that i blew were under warranty for 1 year and i blew em 6 times each....the place where i got them from was getting pissed at me haha.
