Question Escape front wheel mounting: HELP NEEDED!!

Some of you may remember this Escape. Well, I just dusted it off in hopes of completion soon. Unfortunately, I am immediately confronted by the very reason I quit working on it before. I cant figure out how to mount the front wheels.

I will post some pics of what Im working with in a minute on Webshots. Any suggestions are welcome. I think I'm just going to have to glue them, hopefully you guys can give me some different advice.

Dont worry about the first two pics, they are very old. But that is the wheel thats going on. So, any ideas?

*cough* look in the tutorial depository on how to attach Dub wheels. Or just get out a drill.

Re: Escape front wheel mounting: HELP NEEDED!!

I did look there, and I have already considered drilling straight through. That was a while ago. It cant be done. Look close at the pics from straight at the wheel well, and youll see the only thing able to be drilled through is the pin-thing that went through the original axle things to turn the wheels.

Hence the question...

So cut that off and put an eyebolt in there (like in the tutorial). You just need a small hole to get it started, it usually forces the rest of the way.

Didnt even look at the pictures because Garret seems to have it under control.

Duct tape. It fixes anything and everything.

Duct tape works well, just remember to put brakes on or Mike will have a word with you. I still don't have any on my Z....
