85 berlinetta speedo max speed 85 MPH

I have a 1985 berlinetta 305. It has the digital dash. Once the car hits 85 MPH it flashes 85 and will not go higher. I know the casr goes faster but the speedometer will not read anything faster than 85 Mph. The display has 2 digits (I can change it to KPH and see reading in the 100s).

Has anyone ever been able to get it to read faster than 85?

I really like the display, but would like to modify it to read higher than 85.

aftermarket digital cluster is the only way you can do it.
