A while ago I started to notice my second gear, and only my second gear, was not catching correctly. Its been going on for about a month now. Anyway, it seems to be ok when its cold and I'm just starting to drive, but eventually it changes and it slips. For example, I'll put it in gear and unless I forcably pull the lever and hold it in gear it will pop out. sometimes just driving in it, and gassing it and letting off too quick will knock it out. So whats the diagnosis? Thanks for the help.
ps, I know its not me, I've been driving fine for 2 years

Re: Blown Second Gear?!
Parst still wear under "normal" circumstances. 2nd gear/synchro will need replacing along with some bearings. You really can't tell for sure until the tranny is actually removed & opened. If it were me, I'd replace it with a used or rebuilt trans.
