So sometime this week or next week im going to be putting on a set of neuspeed sport springs and some kyb agx shocks. So far I got the tools I need, such as a spring compressor, and hand tools. Is there any other parts I will need asside from the springs and struts? Bushings, nuts bolts whatever?

what kind of car is it that u r lowering and what year? if it's old then u might have some problems remove n the rear struts. the bolt that attatches the strut to the rear lower control arm sometimes gets rusted inside the bushing in the lower control arm. it's almost impossible to remove this bolt from the bush. I snapped the heads off the bolts and broke two wrenches try n to get these bolts off when i was do n my suspension. ur gonna have to cut the bolt then press out the bushing and press in a new one in the lower control arm if your bolt is rusted inside this bushing.
in my 97 integra, this was the problem i encountered. i had to take my car to my friends shop for him to remove the bushing. if ur drop is over 1.5- 1.75 inches u might need to get a camber kit. good luck

I agree those lower bolts can be a pain. Both my rears were frozen in the bushing. Had to cut off bolts & install new bushings.
Camber kits are needed any time you lower a civic because there is NO factory camber adjustment. Tire wear really doens't become an issue until 2" or more of lowering. |

I think that even if you lower it less than 2" it still would need a front camber kit. I have my car lowered 2" and my tires were done within a couple thousand miles; so I think even at 1.5" it might be a problem. But then again, I never really measured my actual drop. I'm just going by the listed values.

Anyone know what a good camber kit for a 88-91 civic will run? I'm fixing to lower mine 4" and will definatly need one.

hey, how do u guy cut the bolts of those rear control arms? and was it hard to remove and install the bushing back in?? where do u buy those bushings??do they have it at autozone or pepboy??

Cut off tool or torch
The bushings can be a pain to remove & reinstall even with the right tool(press) while others pop in/out w/ no problems. the bolts in the rear were pretty hard to cut off. my friend only had a saw zaw so it took a good 20 mins to cut each bolt. he went through at least 5 blades try n to cut the bolt off. after he got the bolt cut off he took the whole lower control arm off from the car and then used a butane torch to melt the bushings then he hamered/chiseled them out. Installing the new bushings is a piece a cake. just spray some WD-40 on the edge of the bushing and used a regular vice grip to push the bushing back into the lower control arm.
you can probably get this bushing at your local honda/acura dealer
