2.3 stang worth a buy?

Hi.

Is the 2.3L EFI stang worth a buy? Hows the performance? Is it a fun driving car atleast? I have driven a 4 dr. Escort to the limit(mommys car) and hope to buy an exciting rwd car that I can push the limit without much risk. Just wonderin if a 2.3 is worth a look.

sadly enough, the 2.3 stang is actually a bit slower than the escort to the best of my knowlege. still, as long as it's a stick it's still fun to drive. you're still preserving the mustang heritage with one. though if i were you, i'd just get a 5.0 or even a 6 cyl... they both have quite a bit more pickup than the 85 or so hp of a 2.3.

also, a 2.3 makes the perfect foundation for a carb'd 302 swap, since the k-member is the same.

Re: 2.3 stang worth a buy?

The coupe I just bought use to have a 2.3L in it. I use to own another coupe with a 2.3L, it was a good beater and winter car, that was about it.
