whoa there slow down and take a breath pal!!

well if you want everything scratchbuilt get 2 identical lengths pieces of metal and cut them out like a H2 shape (but longer because its a limo) and add all the other componets like the chassis, the rims and tires and cutting out the doors and crap like that...

for the interior you should have a bar, and steal the speakers from any dub city diecast or model and addd those, then get some backseats from the same dub city model and add those too

Re: need help building h2o hummer limo

Scratchbuilt?

I speak from expierience in lots of scratchbuilding. Do you thousands of hours to spend on it? Do you have engineering skills? Do you have lots of mechancial skills? Are you good at geometry? How many things have you scratchbuilt? How skillful are you?

All those things play a key roll in scratchbuilding. I myself am scratchbuilding a 1/6 scale Hot Rod. I have spent hundreds of hours designing the chassis so it would come out right. I have spent hundreds of hours building the chassis, and I am nowhere near completion. I have majored in Engineering and drafting at my school. Those skills I have learned definately come into play for this. As well as geometry. Half the battle is designing everything perfectly to scale and for it to fit and work properly. The other half is the building.

Trust me on this. Buy a damn H2, scratch build a limo frame for it. Cut the body in half, and build the middle spacing.

Yea seriously...I agree with Mike 100% I have never built anything from scratch but I have seen Mikes progress thread and from what I can see it looks like a b*tch to build You should either do what mike said or if youu have enough moeny go buy like 3 H2s and cut and mold em togeather...and maybe from the left over pieces you can make like 2 shortened H2s

That thing is a bitch to build. They say "measure twice, cut once" I do and I still end up cutting 10-15 times. I have to tear things apart, readjust them, etc. Everything has to be perfect on a scratchbuild or something/notihing wont/will work.

The limo is going to be a biotch to build, however, as long as you take your time, dont rush, it should look really nice.

Ill now give some tips because my dad owns a limo service and i have ssen many limos being built.

first take the h2 and cut it right down the middle. Make sure u try to make the straightest line. next cut the interior right down the middle. That way you dont have to scrap build the front interior. Then you can thake the back row and put that in the back deat all the way back so u then just have to worry about the bench seating in the back. for the bar, i wood take a square wood rod, and cut little indents in it so it looks like the cooler areas. thats all the stuff i can put down right now. if u need any more advice let me now, my aim is skyliner1189.
