I've never heard of a 1993 730 V8. The 7-series cars in the US had a 3.5 liter 6 cylinder in the late 80's (early 90's?). These cars are called 735s. My 1993 E32 has a 4.0 liter V8 and it's called a 740. Anyway...
In the US at least, the E38s continued to use the same 4.0 liter M60 V8 that's in the E32s for several years before switching to the 4.2 liter M62. So the bottom line is that I'm 90% sure a V8 from an E32 will bolt into an E38. |

Thanks for the info...in the UK the 730 came in the E38 until 96/97 then it was discontinued..so looking at your post and the the duration the engine in production its all pointing towards that the engines are identical...(hope they dont use VW/Audi philosophy..changing major components on the fly).
Thanks for the info At |
