Question Tire Question??

I was looking into getting some 285/75/16 B F Goodrich Mud Terrains for my '99 Z71. When I looked at the specs on BFG's web page it said that the 285 mud terrains were 33.1". Will that fit on my truck without a lift ?? If not, what size body lift would work? I was thinking of maybe getting a 2 or 3 inch body lift in the future anyway. But would they fit without it until I got the lift??

Re: Tire Question??

If you want to run 285's, they will fit on the truck with little, or no lift. You might need to turn the torsion bars a few turns if they scrub anything while turning. I had 285's on mine, im bcak to a 265 now, but as soon as they wear out, I'm looking at a set of 305's. 305/70 are the same height as a 285, but a little wider.

I put 285/75/16s on my 2000 Z71 without any problems at all. No lift is needed. I didn't even have to crank any on the torsion bars. Good luck.
