Hi, I've bought a 98 Honda Accord recently (100K) .. Honda suggests timing belt needs to be replaced after 90K (!!!) .. I don't know whether the previous owner (Don't know who ?) had it replaced or not ..
How could I check whether I need to change it or not !! Thanks |

Re: Honda Accord Timing Belt
Simple, but not so simple
You'll have to take off the cover to the timing belt Seems easy, until the part's outside of it have to be removed Alt, Steering Pump, Cruise control, and then various bolts in tight spots But once cover is removed, you'll be able to see belt Look at it and see how it is, if there are no dates to be seen. No cracks or wear, then is OK. But for how long is the answer no one really knows...... |
