94 Engine swap

I have a 94 v6 camaro with 205,000 miles on it and wanted to know some things about an engine swap. I want to swap engines and wanted to know what would be the best way to go with out spending tons of money switching. I also want to change the tranny to a manual. Is there a big difference in performance in an automatic and a manual. Thanks

Re: 94 Engine swap

What engine are you looking to swap in? Another 3.4? 3.8? 5.7?
3.4L is a straight across engine for engine swap.. Wont cost much more than the engine itself..
3.8L requires a lot of mods, and its expensive.. Definatly not worth the money..

If your lookin to do a LT1 or LS1 swap... Do a SearCH! theres quite a few threads on the swap..

Auto vs. Tranny Was also a very well covered topic.. Do a search! you'l get an answer a lot quicker... Auto is a little faster, But most people perfer to row their own gears, and manuals are fun..

Re: 94 Engine swap

its actually more cost effective to swap in an LT1 than a 3.8 v-6. depending on your abilities, financial abilities, and what you want to do with the car youre prolly just gonna want to go with another three four...

Re: 94 Engine swap

$4500 for the Engine with the K-member... Heck, if somebody wants it, I will even let them come out and drive it before I take it out of the car.... I would have to know they were a serious buyer though. The whole car is for sale, but I do not think I will get my asking price due to Loan values. For this reason I will sell the engine seperate.

I will sell it for 14k, If somebody wants it with some stock wheels (most don't really dig the BBS anyway), Stock rear, stock spoiler, and stock Front Brakes (stock front brakes have Red Calipers)!

WHere you from Tacoma man? If you are interested, you can come out and I will take you for a ride in it.

here Is a link to some pics and info on the car.
