Exclamation Leaking water in 04 SS

Ever since the summer ive had a bad leaking problem only on the passenger side of my SS, im guessing its coming from a bad seal from the windshield....is anyone else having the same problem?? if so is it from windshield or something else?

Re: Leaking water in 04 SS

There is a seal under the cowl that disintegrates, or moves over time. Remove the windshield wipers, them the whole cowl will come off with 3 (I think) plastic buttons. You will see the seal. Put a new one in, or just lay a bead of silicone where the seal went.
If the seal looks like it is in good condition, you might have a plugged Air conditioner drain line, another fairly common problem.

you don't have to take your wipers off at all,i have fixed 10 of my own impalas with this problem, just take the plastic cowl off on the bottom, there is supposed to be a rubber strip to prevent the water from going down into the heater motor and leaking into the pass side floor, the purpose of the rubber strip is to divert the water to drain down into the back of the inner fender, just put anything on the strip, even if the strip is still there remone it and put any type of silicone on it and stick it back in place ,this will fix your problem

You're right about the wipers, I was thinking of my Alero.
