Bolt Pattern Help
Okay, I have an '84 Nissan 300zx and the bolt pattern for the wheels is a 4 lug deal. Now, I have an '88 Nissan 200sx (V6) in my garage with a lug pattern of 5. On the 200 are a nice set of aftermarket Nissan rins that are just out of reach. Why you ask, because of the 1 lug difference. The wheels and tires on my Z are crappy and I want to switch them or at least change the bolt pattern on my Z to 5. How hard would this be? My dad said that I would probably have to take the rotors off and all of that stuff to switch them. I thought that if I found another 300zx in a junkyard that the switch wouldn't be too difficult (on the 80's 300zx's, the NA's had 4 lugs and the Turbo's had 5 lugs). I need some advice from people who know what they are talking about.

Re: Bolt Pattern Help
I think it is pretty difficult, but talk to Grant@TireRack, I asked him a somewhat similar question before and he had an answer, but I dont remember what it is.

Re: Bolt Pattern Help
you can buy adapters, or change the whole piece that the lugs are attached to. Not sure what their attacked to when dealing with independent suspension, but with a straight axle, all four axle shafts can be swapped out for others with the correct bolt pattern

I have never seen that conversion done so I have no idea if the hubs are interchangable. You could check with a local shop that has experience with Nissans to see if they have ever seen anthing like that. If it were possible, it would involve changing out the hubs and I don't think those are the same setup on both cars.
