removing auto shifter to replace

hi there i have a 1997 malibu i need to remove the old shifter so i can
put in an aftermarket one but i cant seem to find the right way to get it off. any has any suggestions id appreciate it

if you mean he shifter knob dont do it, i did it and it was the worst pds i ever did

but here you go:
put the shifter to 1
in frint of the knob there is a satple like pin, get kneedle nose pliers and pull iot out
and the knob pops rite out
