HELP PLZ!!!! 93 Lumina apv

Hi every1 i have a 93 lumina van and its sick bad .....This is how it started........I was driving it one day and it started missing a bit didn't have much pick up i went about 3 miles down the road stopped for gas left there and got stopped at a light .....when light turned i went to go and the van just spit san sputtered up the road and stalled within 500 ft it started right back up but was shaking an rattling very bad so i cradle it to a phone get someone to come follow me the rest of the way filled the van with water let it sit about 10 mins and drove it home just fine .....then i drove it a few days more like it was and it just kept getting worse and worse but it will still start an go alil bit before it starts stalling and when it starts back it just spits an sputters until it set alil while.....Is this the cadillac converter or tcc? Or am i way off plz help
