Exclamation 2001 Accord V Timing Belt

I just passed 90,000 miles on my car and will need to replace the timing belt soon. I read thru the manual and all it says is how to replace the belt. There is little mention of what to remove to get to the belt, ex. compressor, alternator... as well as the parts I will need to replace while replacing the belt, besides the water pump and the belt. Will I need to replace any seals? Is there a balancing belt? If someone knows the steps to get there, please reply. I need any help I can get.

Best Regards,
Kris

there is no balancer shaft belt, it's not I4. V6 doesn't need it.

use pictures out of my gallery. it's out of helm's manual (Honda)

Re: 2001 Accord V Timing Belt

Just started doing the belt change. The removal of all the components to get to the belt is not that bad except for the covers. I was expecting to have a hard time with the crankshaft pulley, but that was just a minute job and a bit of pulling. Good thing I have a car for tomorrow to get to work, else I would have to work in the dark. I'm wondering what it will take to replace the water pump and the idler pulley. I removed the power steering pump and the side engine mount for easier access. I wanted to add some pictures but don't know how. I have a question. All the marks were on the dot except for the rear camshaft pulley off by 1/8", probably a tooth off. Or maybe it should be this way. I didn't have any problems so far with the way the engine runs. Should I be concerned and correct this? This is the first time the belt is replaced, or is it? The car was hit once, maybe the shop was in there and didn't install it exactly the way it should be. Like I said there was not problem with the enigne porformance. If anyone can please respond to my questions.

Till later,
Chris
