Exclamation Swapping in LT1

Has anybody ever swapped an LT1 engine into their truck? I just bought a 94 LT1 that was in a caprice police car from my brother and was wondering how hard the swap is. My main concern is the wiring and also where to mount the accessories (A/C, alternator, ect.). I have a 98 4L60E transmission out of a 98 truck that I will be mating it to. My truck is a 93 Chevy 4x4 full size Blazer with 350 TBI and 4L60E transmission. I would like to know if anyone has done this and if you are happy with the results and would you do it again or recommend doing it. Thanks in advance for any help.

Re: Swapping in LT1

the easiest way would be to get the whole wiring harness and computer from the caprice. the transmisson can use an aftermarket computer if the original doesnt match. check with aftermarket transmission places like tci etc.
