Angry 99 GT Theft Lock

I had to disconnect my battery and after I hooked it back up the theft lock will not allow my radio to come on. Has anyone else had this problem? Worst thing is...I don't remember the code.

Re: 99 GT Theft Lock

Your local G.M. dealer can go into diagnostics and pull a code from the unit, call the delco service center & get an unlock code, but that aint free!
And dont expect to just bring in the raido, that defeats the purpose of passlock.
Hope you remember the #
Or have a friend at a dealer because I only know one way to unlock it.
Obtaining the Radio Display Code (Scrambled Backup Code)
Perform the following steps in order to obtain the radio display code:

Important
In order to display this code, the radio should be in the LOC mode or have SEC displayed before proceeding.

Press and hold the pushbuttons 2 and 3 for approximately 6 seconds until the first 3 digits of the display code are displayed.
Write the numbers down.
Press the AM-FM button. The second 3 digits are displayed.
Write the numbers down.
After approximately 5 seconds or if another button is pressed the display returns to LOC. The display code must be unscrambled in order to acquire the factory backup code that unlocks the radio.

In order to acquire the factory backup code call Delco Electronics Corporation and enter the authorized account number along with the display code that has been written down.

Visit www.geocities.com/unlocker03 for cheap access to your unlock codes. Dealers charge $60-80.

Hi,
I sell this unlock code a lot cheaper than anyone else, including the dealers. I sell them for GM, Saturn, Buick, Pontiac, Geo, Chevy (Chevrolet), Oldsmobile, GMC, and many other makes. Take a look at these pages...
