95 civic side moldings

hey all...

I'm taking my car into the shop to get my body kit painted, and i wnat to get the side moldings painted as well...i'm wondering what happens if i just take them off? i think there are holes left in the car? is there? how hard wold it be to mold them out....hmmmm....help me out if you've been here...

The side moulding are there to protect your door from accidental dings and bumps. If you remove them, you have no more protection.

And yes there will be small square holes if you remove them. Having them shaved would require someone welding a piece of metal behind the holes and then filling the gap with bondo.

It's really a toss-up that depends on where you live. If you live in a densely populated city, I'd say don't do it. One careless act by granny in the Walmart parking lot and WHACK, it don't look pretty no more.
