Smile 83' 380sl: supercharger?

I own an 83 380sl convertible. I love my car, and i always get stares from the ladies, but it has a very weak engine. I have been saving my money, and plan on putting forged internals in this car. my question is, are there any supercharger systems for this car? or am i going to have to macguyver my own system from scratch? any help is appreciated, thx

I think the best way to increase your power is to replace your engine with a 500 SL engine(euro model)for that year. .I THINK? that it would be an almost straight swap .OIL Pan and other small things might be different. .This is what I would do rather then try and constuct a super charger. After the engine swap
if you want to get SERIOUS HORSE POWER AND HAVE LOTS OF EXTRA TIME AND CASH AND CAN CONSTRUCT THINGS YOURSELF YOU MIGHT WANT TO TRY to S/C IT.jimwusa

go with the 5.6 liter motor from any 1986 thru 1990. It'll plop right in. If it comes from a sedan, you'll need to do minor mods to the underhood insulation to clear the air cleaner. No need to search for an SL specific motor. Just get the computer and harness for whatever motor you end up with. The 380 car has a higher ratio gear in the differential that will make it accelerate even better than the original 5.6 cars.

Will torch your tires to shreds...
