Talking Neutrino & I are headed on a road trip to pick up my new car!

On May 26th of this month Neutrino and I are flying out to Cincinnati Ohio to pick up my new car and drive it back to Utah. Some of you that have been around a while remember my 89 LeBaron GTC and how it was totaled in a car accident about a year and a half ago. Well, I found someone selling a mint 1989 LeBaron GTC Turbo II just like mine except it has silver paint and tan interior. The only problems are a dent on the rear quarter panel where someone backed into it. The AC needs recharged and the dash vents don't work which is a simple vacuum line. It needs new brakes and tires and, of course, the dent fixed. He thinks it will cost more than the car is worth but after looking at the pictures the car is almost in nicer condition than mine was and it only has 74,000 miles on it. To top it off, all he wants is $600 for the car.

I'm really excited to go out there and drive it. Now I just don't know what I am going to do with the 90 GTC. As soon as I take some pics with my digital camera I'll have to post them.

Finally, once again, I can have some fun in a car.

You guys should fly out on the 25th so you can catch the MSA Supermodified show at Mansfield Motorsports Speedway. Should be an excellent show. First MSA visit to the highbanked Mansfield 1/2mile in years.

Damn, I already bought the plane tickets for the 26th. I haven't been to a descent auto event in a while.

Chrysler rated the Turbo II at 174HP and 200 ft/lbs of torque, but I tend to think those numbers are a bit reserved. I got a best time of 14.6 @ 98 MPH in the 1/4 mile with my old 89 GTC and it was stock. I haven't seen too many reports of specs but I know that it holds .89 Gs on the skidpad stock.
