Re: hey!

4g civics and crx's were the lightest hatchback honda has produced. perfect candidates for for pretty much any kind of racing out there. besides, I used to have a 4g, love the shit out of it and I'm thinking about picking up another one just for the hell of it

Re: hey!

Remember this, looks are not everything... it's what's under the hood, and the hours that have been put into tuning that matter. Plus driver ability accounts for a lot. I beat a lot of stuff at the track with my simple SOHC Vtec that I never should have. Likewise, I lost to a lot that I shouldn't have.

Re: hey!

A crx with I/h/e is not going to be very fast. but you better watch out for a crx with a swap and a turbo, he will blow the doors off of alot of stuff.

those are the kids that I make fun of. There's a few different types of tuners, serious, hobby, and the wannabes. Like with my car I've got an integra gsr motor swapped into it with a lot of bolt ons, one of the fastest cars in my town. I have no problem trying to race people. But then you get the kids that will be an old civic or crx because they don't have much money but still want the "cool" car. And like I said, they're either broke or not very smart so mods aren't always there or the best. And then they have this old car with a loud muffler that sounds fast so then they think it's fast and then they want to race.

nope. gens before are even lighter but as far as "good" civics go yes 4th gens are lightest that are tuner cars.
I picked it for this very reason the EGs are portly compared to my 1900lb*now* hatchie.

But pretty much thats the reason cause if you know what your doing you can go real fast real cheap turn awesomely brake great and look nice doing it.

But the down side to its cheapness is the fact everyone can afford them and there are many who think they are fast and arn't but cause they got a 10k car and 10 intake think they can roll with the big boys.
As i love to say gotta pay to play.

Dumping 3G into a 4th gen civic will get you running with Z28s not many other cars can say that when you think about it

I saw a magazine article about a couple early 80's late 70's civics from Canada...it was quite intersting...they definatly did their research on those cars.

b18c5 is USDM *comes from US* Integra type R motor being able to sqeeze they power it does from a little motor pass an OBD2 sytem smog and get good gas its a great motor. Being allmotor head its my fav.

H22 is the top of line prelude motor being 2.2 liters it makes some TQ *well for a inline 4* so it really flys when put into a much lighter civic its a lot of work and does eat up your engine bay add weight to the front but its good for drag.
