My new '04 RSX was rear ended when BMW submarined under the right rear bumper and qtr panel. Appears most of the damage is to bumper and exhaust system, but I now have this stress cracking sound coming from aroung the front windshield when on rough pavement. Before I take to repair shop to have rear damage fixed I want to have some intelligent idea about what this noise is. Thanks!

Re: windshield frame noise
Maybe some less evident/more serious damage? How fast/hard did the Beemer hit?

RSX was hit hard enough to move rear of car approx. a foot to one side. The noise from around the windshield occurs when care is driven over rough pavement. Whatever forces are being applied to this area, it causes a cracking sound possibly of some of the plastic around the windshield inside or out. Thanks!

Re: windshield frame noise
Unfortunately, I don't think anyone will be able to diagnose the problem with any degree of certainty here. Take it to the mechanic. Hope it's nothing serious-it's always a heartbreaker when a new car gets hit.
