Thumbs down P10/P11 cupholder issues...

I don't know about P10's, but P11's must have the worst cupholders ever made . My late Toyota Tercel (RIP) held drinks better than the G and it didn't even have cupholders . It's called put your drink in between you handbrake method . How many of you G20 owners have made simple turns turn into wet disasters?

Cheers
Coil

Yep, drives me nuts. My solution is not to let any drink in my car unless it is in a bottle with a cap.

I just dont buy drinks without a cap anymore. Its just not worth the risk.

I was once drivin with one of those half gallon big gulp things in my back seat cup holder. The whole thing fliped and flooded my back seat floor. Still havent got the damn stain out of my Infiniti logo on the floor mat.

yup i posted my "accident" a few weeks ago. i was trying to beat a yellow left turn arrow (i did), but the g-forces lifted the cupholder out of the armrest container (yes you heard right, the cupholder-not the cup- fell out, with the Burger King cup still firmly planted inside it) and onto my dash and floor. the plastic lid didnt stand a chance.

Yeah, the P11 cupholders do suck! I actually have a better cupholder instead - someone sitting in the front seat! Anyone try the cupholders in the back? They look like they work but i bet the can only hold cans.

Yeah, they work alot better than the one up front. I mean, it isn't too deep so you really can't put anything in there other than a can. But even those flip out when you make a hard turn. Sucks:smoka:

Check it out. Go here to the very bottom of the page and check out the 'universal' cupholder. Works pretty good I've heard.

I have found that the cup holder inside the armrest can hold a 12oz can and you can put the armrest back down, then you don't have to worry about it flying out or spilling but you have to open the armrest everytime you want a drink.

I don't have any problems with cup holders cause I have none. hahaha I love it though. People will try to bring drinks into my car and then I have to tell them no cause I have no cupholders. Sometimes I will allow a bottle of pop or something but I am having second thoughts cause the last one exploded upon opening no apparent reason it wasn't shaken as far as I know but it got all over me the seat and the floor. Luckly I have leather so it cleaned up semi easy.

Question What cup holder???

What cupholder are you people talking about? Do you mean the big round "CHANGE HOLDER". :cwn27:

I've had NO problems w/ mine no matter how fast I turn, no change spills out!!:hehehe:

And COIL I know what you mean ( I had a Tercel myself--one damn good cupholder!)

Peace

I have a lot better of a car now, but I still miss my tercel. I had the Wings West kit and had it lowered on some 17's. Looked like a M3. Well, RIP.
