Help Jeep runs like crap and dies when I turn on the headlights?
just what the title says, runs like a top, when you turn the headlights on it starts spitting and sputtering and dies?...any ideas on what it can be?

Maybe you need a new battery

It has a brand new battery and it stays running with the battery cable undone?

Then you many need a new generator, but first check all of your charging systems connections and cables as well as the connections and leads of you headlights.

OK, I think I may have found it, the head light switch just went out so I am assuming that it had a short in it, I am going to replace that and see what happens, as well as checking all of my connections, thanks guys

Hey I had the same problems I replaced the alternator and my battery I went with a higher output alternator and my battery is a yellow top optima not a problem since
