Re: Engine mounts
Well I can't say for sure...
But my 92 Voyagers is about to roll over 300,000 km (kilometers) and I just did the timing belt which required removing the passenger side engine mount and it looked in excellent shape. I once had a Delta 88 (oldsmobile) with a 350 rocket motor that broke a engine mount that caused the engine to hit the hood on acceleration ![]() So I know what bad engine mounts feel like ![]() Wayne |

Re: Engine mounts
Hmm... They last until the left inner CV joint breaks-then it's time for new ones

Thanks for the replies. The reason I asked about the engine mounts was because I had to have my transaxle repaired under warranty. The repair shop said the tranny repair was covered 100% but that the mounts were shot and needed replacing ($285). I smelled a rat but went along with it.

Re: Engine mounts
Timd,
Those Rats got you good. They had to remove at least one damn mount to get the trans out...! Should have only been a parts charge. The mounts don't cost 200 bucks, given that they charged you 85 for labor, either. I think I'd go cook me up that Rat... Slantsixness
