Were you a Girl Scout?

If you don't even know what I'm talking about, I can try to explain later...

But for those of you who do know: Were you? I was a Girl Scout. I started as a Brownie, and ended when I was just about to become a Cadet. I had 2 Early Bird Patches, my wings, my rainbow... Only God knows what else

Yep! I was a Girl Scout! I started in Brownies and continued through Cadets, but stopped short of being a Senior. Had too many patches to remember, my rainbow, etc. Ah...the memories. How about all those camping trips? I met one of my best friends on a Girl Scout Camping trip.

Not me. I spent my childhood days in the sandbox or on the soccer field. Yep, I'm a weird one

I played soccer, too! I miss that game. I was a ballarina, an ice skater, a soccer player, I rode bikes, a rollerblader....

I even played driveway hockey with my (then) little brother... who is now taller than me!!!!

hehe I was one for about 6 weeks when i was little......till they made me do some challenge where you had to do a handstand against a wall and I was scared and wouldn't do it. And I never went back

I think I only did it 'cos my mum made me anyway. For some reason Girl Guides & Boy Scouts have a real "loser" image here - which is the last thing you want when you're a kid in school

Looking back now, I reckon I would have had heaps of fun if I'd stuck with it!

I was a girl scout. Not for very long though. I joined in the one before Cadets. I only lasted for less than a year, because they never told me about re-scheduled or scheduled meetings, or other activites. Now I want the shirt from Hot Topic that says Girl Scout Dropout on it

I was thrown out of Brownies before i made it to Juniors........the scout nazi bitch lady hated me cause i was smarter than her daughter and did everything better than her daughter and was going into juniors before her daughter.....
so thats about the time when i stopped being into anything 'girlish' at all...all my freinds were boys, all my interests weren't very girlie...
I skateboarded, rollerbladed, hockey, football, softball, had horses(that i very much miss and wish i never ever ever wouldve given up for anything!)and now im a car nut....

Woohoo!!! Another girlie like me!!! I have always had tons of male friends and 1 or 2 girlfriends...but even then I still like hanging with my boys better. I also had a horse for 4 years (rode for 6) and that was one of the greatest times in my life...I need to scan a pic of me n him and post it. I drove by the place I used to ride at the other day and he was still there Big paint horse with the personality of a dog. But I know what you mean about not wanting to do "girlish" things. I think my mom was kinda bummed that I was a tomboy cuz she was always trying to get me to dress up and even threatened to send me to finishing school....to which I gave a :finger: to that.

Alex loves me the way I am. He says he even loves the fact I am not into "foofy" things and we can work on cars together and what not. We even have a lot of the same tastes as far as how we want to decorate our house, and do lots of other things. We still have enough differences too to make things interesting. Our tastes in music are different for example.

I do have a girlie side...I do like to do my hair, wear make up, and of course dress presentably, but I am not into basketwaving, sewing n crafts etc. The craftiest I get is rearranging the tools in my toolbag or designing stuff on the computer. And no offense to anyone who is or who likes "foofy" things. I am who I am and it just annoys me when other people....especially the girls in my office try to press me to get into things I have no interest in.

hehe hells yeah!
yesterday my darling dearest boyfreind and I spend the day playing with the timing on his car......doing a compression test on it.....and troubleshooting the charging system on my cash whoreing beetle....

I had a great big paint horse too! his name was Ace.....he was red and white, had a perfect diamond on his forehead and a map of north america on his shoulder! beautiful animal....striking and super flashy! I showed him sucessfully for a couple years...then I went thru a bad depression(hospitalization bad) and got rid of everything i loved during that time......stupid stupid me.....anyway......

The craftiest thing I do is model cars.....and groom and show my dogs....
I am into interior decorating a bit......but black and white are my main colors!im waitng on my leather sofa and chairs!!! and major oriental influence(look at my driveway Nissan and Honda!)

and I also wear makeup(when I remember and it matters) I dress pretty nice when i go out, I have a monthly hair appointment and occasionally have my nails done....but i can still out drive most of the boys in this town

Holy cow (er horse!) that is so funny....mine was also red n white..his name was Captain Fudge, but he didn't have a star on his forehead. Of all the years I rode him I only got one pic of us together I need to go find it and scan it. I miss him so bad. I gave up riding because 1.) my riding instructor was a back biter, and 2.) she was going to raise the lease on him and also include that I would have to pay his vet bills. Beforehand I didn't...I just had to pay for lessons and work a little extra around the barn. He had a bad liver infection beforehand and had come close to needing to be put down. The grand total of that cost about $10,000. My parents said if he got sick like that again it could bankrupt them. At that time I was approaching driving age, and since she was such a back biter I got more interested in the car scene...that helped with the "closure" I guess if you wanna call it that of missing out on the horses.

I would like to have horses again at some point, but if I never have the $$ to do so I am glad I least had 6 years of riding time.
