not a mustang Q - but a 4.6..

not sure if it was here that i asked this in or stangnet, either way i got a Q..

on my moms '92 Grand Marquis (4.6 DOHC) the AC craped out a while back, being a '92 my parents don't wanna dump the money in for a new AC. but just this winter (in canada now - need heat) the AC tensioner craped out to : so now when ever we just put on the heat the tensioner will toggle on and off, thus burning the belt (its seized).

the heater doesn't have anything to do with the AC so is their something that i can do so the tensioner won't toggle on and off, so then i can do so we atleast get heat and defrost? thanks.

P.S i gotta drive this thing for the summer and every winter (untille next spring when my 67 should be ready
