'96 Rearend in an '89 9C1

Hi all new guy here
I have a question about porportioning valves on Cop cars. I have an '89 9C1 and have a great opportunity to get a '96 rearend with disc brakes and everything but what about my valve. Can I use it? I believe i can but i thought I'd check first.
