Wide tires on hatch?

Hi guys,

I'm about to head out to Hot Import Nights in a bit, but before I do I thought i'd fire off a quick thread. Does anybody know what are the widest tires that can be put on a 90 hatch? I'm planning on getting 17" rims and I would like to put some really wide tires on them. Something to the tune of 225-245 width. I just love seeing BMW M5s, Vipers, and Vettes with the deep dish rims and wide tires and I would like to put some on my car.

Re: Wide tires on hatch?

Do they rub in the front & back or just the front? I'm even considering putting like some 215s in the front and some 225s in the back

you shouldnt need spacers if you get the right offset, This will let you have that fat lip look and prevent rubbing issues

Re: Wide tires on hatch?

Hmmm.... fender flares? Who makes them for the 90 hatch? Any recommendations? By the way, Hot Import Nights in San Mateo was off da hook last night. I can't wait for the next one in Oct.
