Can You Identify GM Parts?

These part numbers appear on an invoice for repairs made to my 2000 Grand Am SE Sedan, V6, after I was rear-ended by another driver. There was no description of the parts and I'm trying to figure out what they are? Do you know?

NPN375262LKQDAMR………………………………$120.00

NPN35587LKQDAMR………………………………..$450.00

NPN377000LKQDAMR……………………………..$240.00

Corrected

Re: Can You Identify GM Parts?

http://www.gmpartsdirect.com/ searched the part numbers on this site, but there were no results, are you sure you typed them in right or something?

Re: Can You Identify GM Parts?

You're right - a typo, but I also checked that site multiple times with no success. Here are corrected part #'s
NPN375262LKQDAMR
NPN35587LKQDAMR
NPN377000LKQDAMR

Re: Can You Identify GM Parts?

geez this isnt easy..i think i just spent about an hour looking around. I tried just putting in the numbers and leaving out the letters and stuff and still no luck..i have no idea. Did you try putting in the part numbers of any other parts that you already know just to test it? Did it work?

Parts

Either your a super-nice person or love a challenge to spend all that time! I tried all the things you mentioned too with no luck, but yes - I did find some other part numbers like 88956332 $168 is a rear body and floor panel. Since these repairs were the result of an auto accident - my attorney agreed to find out from the dealer or insurance company and let me know. I'm trying to figure out since I was rear-ended if any of their work may have been relative to the mechanical issues I'm having now - seems my fuel pump is blown.

Re: Can You Identify GM Parts?

My attorney's assistant went straight to the dealer - that's the only way I could get them I suppose. I have lots to do at work, but can't wait until 5:00!

Re: Can You Identify GM Parts?

Not sure if you were aware, but those are used parts. You can tell by the part numbers.. Junkyards use 5 or 6 digit codes for parts, then they add their tag to the end. LKQ is a big salvage company and Damron Auto (an LKQ facility) is in Crystal River, near where your car would've been repaired. You can see it at the end of the part number - LKQ DAMR.

If your dealer/mechanic told you they were new parts, I'd think about finding a new shop for repair work.

Well, I think it sucks that they put used parts on my car, but I didn't pay for it - the insurance company did. These were repairs from an accident and my biggest beef with the repairs was that the air brush I once had on my trunk is gone forever and they screwed up the replacement airbrush - but all their other work looks excellent so I'm cool.

Re: Can You Identify GM Parts?

Well the insurance company has to put the car in the condition it was in before the accident, you should go tell them that they need to get some new parts not old parts that may be unnoticably damaged, insurance guys will pay as little as the can. My brother got rear ended on his motorcylce and had just put on a new aftermarket tire earlier that day and an aftermarket exhaust and the insurance company fought us and we fought bacck now they're paying him for the tire and the muffler. I was talking to a cop that was at the scene and he was talking to me about how they'll spend as little as they can becuase the less they pay out the more they collect. I would try telling them to re-do the airbrush because you want the car EXACTLY how it was before the accident

It was a used bumper, trunk lid and a tail light so mechanically, I think I'm safe, but I agree about the airbrush. The problem is they threw out the old trunk before I knew there was a problem and I have no picture so I'm not able to tell them how to restore it exactly as it was before. It sucks.

Re: Can You Identify GM Parts?

one of the things you should always do when you get a car is take pictures of it: inside, outside, far, near, etc...then do the exactly same if ur in an accident. That way body shops and insurance companies cant rip you off such as throwing away the trunk of ur car. I wouldnt doubt they did that on purpose but im not one to judge.
