Question T-56 rebuild Questions

I have a 2000 WS-6 and the dealer has replaced the Tranny twice, or so they say. It grinds in third and fourth (unless I double clutch), it will not go into fifth and it pops out of reverse. The first time the dealer said they replaced the syncros and the forks, The second time they said they put in a new tranny but the problem still remains. So, I'm gonna rebuild it myself. Can anyone give me any advise as to any of the problems they incured on a rebuild, any special tools, where to find some of these internal parts and cost? Any info will be greatly appreciated. Thankx

Re: T-65 rebuild Questions

my 99 has the same problem. its actually getting fixed right now. my clutch was burnt up and the synchronizers were gone. all this happened because of the throw out barring. if you replaced the tranny with a new one it is either the clutch, throw out bearing, or your a shitty driver. its too hard to fix it your self unless your a transmission guy. oh and buddy its a t 56 transmission not 65

Re: T-65 rebuild Questions

I didn't think of the throw out bearing and the clutch is only a year old. I'm sure it's the syncros but I'm not sure why they keep going out. As far as being a shitty driver, you're not the first to mention it and you've never even seen me drive. LOL! I have a transmission guy helping me out and I knew that it was a t-56, apparently I'm not to keyboard savy either. Please let me know the cost and any other info you have if you have time. Thanx
