90 Civic tire Size
Hi
I would like to know what is a compatible tire/wheel size to the stock tire/wheel? The reason that I ask this is cause I had a chevy blazer that I changed the tires and it ended up ruining my tranny and diferential. My manchanic told me that by changing the tires, it changes the gear ratio, now I need to know what tires/wheel are the compatible ones to my stock tires which are 175/70/13. Thx Bxcivic2000 |

Re: 90 Civic tire Size
Check www.tirerack.com & www.whalentire.com for plus sizing info. Plus sizing is increasing the rim diameter & reducing the sidewall height, tire height will stay about the same +/-.5" (14"-17" wheel). I recommend no larger than 16's, 15's prefer. You'll start tearing up suspension, brake, power/drivetrain when you start using CHROME heavy 16's or larger.
